Over the past 17 years, Dalian Amercian International School and Dalian Huamei School have been providing personalized learning environments designed to help our children achieve outstanding results. Our school's AP and SAT scores this year are outstanding. The most common score on AP exams during the 2023 administration was a score of 5. We administered 317 AP exams in May, a school record for DAIS/DHS. One hundred eleven of the exams earned a score of 5, which is the highest possible score. Students’ performance in Music Theory, English Language & Composition, English Literature, Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism, Chinese Language, and Calculus BC far exceed the average global scores and those in China.

Sixty-five of the 143 students who took AP exams earned AP Scholar recognitions from the College Board. We had a record number of students earning the AP Scholar of Distinction - 39. This is one of the most prestigious AP awards. To earn AP Scholar of Distinction a student must earn an average score of 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and get a 3 or higher on at least five exams. Eight students received the AP International Diploma this year:
Jared Xing, DAIS/DHS Class of 2023 student, received a special recognition from College Board. Jared not only received the top score of 5 on the AP Microeconomics Exam in May 2023, but was also one of only 44 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Microeconomics Exam, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the exam.
