Shenyang Debate Competition

The DAIS Debate Club is a Global Campus-aligned club that participates in British Parliamentary form debates. The club participates in online debates with other Nord Anglia Education schools. In preparation for the virtual debates, the Debate Club participated in a live debate tournament in Shenyang on October 30. The DAIS Debate Club produced two teams who competed against two teams from QSI Shenyang. The students debated numerous topics including "lying is necessary" and "uniforms should be required at schools."

The debate tournament included a round-robin which placed the two Dalian teams in 2nd and 3rd place. The two teams progressed to the final round to compete for the bronze and gold medals. Despite a strong performance from QSI Shenyang, both Dalian teams won their respective finals to place 1st and 3rd! Dalian hopes to cross sabers again with Shenyang later this year.
