GST in Boarding Program

The Huamei boarding program offers guided study time for secondary students every day. The aim is to help boarders develop good study habits, improve their organization and planning skills, time management skills and English proficiency while also completing homework and subject projects with the help of their teachers.

During Guided Study Time (GST), teachers do not teach classes, but they do provide targeted instruction. For example, while guiding them with their homework, teachers will also suggest improvement in subjects where students need to improve. Although the teachers who oversee the GST are not their own subject teachers, all subject teachers are arranged to be present every day, so students can take the initiative to find teachers to answer questions according to their own needs. However, students are also advised to complete their homework before they move to other areas.
